The WEL Energy Trust has reviewed its Community Investment Strategy and the new document was adopted at our May meeting.  It includes some bold changes which will impact on grant decisions, and signals a move towards supporting smaller local organisations and putting an emphasis on those most in need by trying to address inequalities in the community.  The Trust has also made a statement regarding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and supporting Maaori aspiration and initiatives, which will challenge us as we develop partnerships to recognise these.

The new Strategy takes effect from June 2022.  Applications will be considered in terms of their contribution towards the refreshed aims of the Trust.

Please note that the Quick Response maximum grant limit has increased from $15,000 to $20,000.
